Deva is a 2025 Hindi-language action thriller starring Shahid Kapoor. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, it is an official remake of Andrrews' own 2013 Malayalam hit, Mumbai Police. The film was released in theaters on January 31, 2025. The Plot The story follows Dev Ambre (Shahid Kapoor), a brilliant but rebellious and high-tempered police officer known for his aggressive tactics and disdain for authority. The Incident: While investigating the high-profile murder of his close friend and fellow officer, ACP Rohan D’Silva, Dev is involved in a near-fatal accident. The Twist: He survives but suffers from partial memory loss. Crucially, he had just called his superior to claim he had solved the case right before the crash. The Mission: Dev must piece together his own past and re-investigate the case from scratch. As he digs deeper, he uncovers a web of deceit, betrayal, and a shocking truth that links his "old" self to the very crime he is trying to solve.
